SHOXX Parent Company to File Bankruptcy

Ongakusenkasha, the company that publishes SHOXX magazine and Pick-up Voice, has announced plans to file bankruptcy. According to a Yahoo! news report in Japan, the company applied for bankruptcy in June, and could stop doing business as soon as today. Ongakusenkasha started publishing in 1966, and launched SHOXX as a visual kei publication in 1990. The company cites economic recession and the rise of digital media as primary reasons for the declaration.
