AYABIE Loses Two Members

Two members of AYABIE announced via their OHP on December 9 that they will be leaving the band. Vocalist Yumehito and bassist Intetsu announced in personal statements that they will leave at the end of the month on December 31, citing both anxiety surrounding band responsibilities and differences in musical direction as reasons for their departure. Drummer KENZO left the band in July. The remaining members do plan to continue as AYABIE, and hope to resume activities as soon as possible. Band and member statements can be found on their OHP.

Visual Kei Anime Cover Album Release 10/2

Tokuma Japan will be gathering together a variety of visual kei bands and artists to create a second visual kei-anime cover album release. This collection, titled "V-ANIME ROCKS evolution," will hit stores on October 2, and it will feature artists like AYABIE, WING WORKS, A(ace), Kaya, GALEYD, Juri (ex-DELUHI) feat. Leda, Souiumono, SEX-ANDROID, DaizyStripper, THE BEETHOVEN, FEST VAINQUEUR, Megamasso, and Royz. The first collection, "V-ANIME ROCKS!" was released on August 1, 2012. That album is available to download from iTunes.

GREMLINS New Site & Single Release

Nightmare guitarist Hitsugi's new side project, GREMLINS, now has an official web site and Twitter account. Hitsugi and former-Ayabie drummer Kenzo will be releasing their first single, titled "the Carnival," on October 16. Check their official sites for updates.

Viju☆Love☆Cafe #23 will have its next webcast on Sunday, May 6 at 14:00 JST (convert time here). SHOXX Reveals Artists for Vols. 236 &237

SHOXX music magazine has revealed the featured artists for both the current Volume 236 and the next, Volume 237.

The October 2012 Volume 236 features the GazettE as the cover artist, with a 23-page special article inside. Other artists included in the volume are Sakito (Nightmare), SuG, Plastic Tree, Igaguri Chiba (Sendai Kamotsu), LM.C, AYABIE, UNiTE, Makoto, and BugLug, among others. This issue is on sale now.

The November 2012 Volume 237 will feature dual cover artists of MUCC and Alice Nine. The magazine also promises to include YOMI (Nightmare), the GazettE, SuG, and Shin (ViViD), among others. That issue will hit stores on September 21.

AYABIE to First Major Album & Web Appearance

AYABIE will release their first major-label album on August 22. The new album, "Answer," will be released in two types. The band released their major debut single "Ryusei" in 2011 with the Toy's Factory label.

AYABIE will also be making a guest appearance on the Dwangya web show. The show airs August 14 at 20:00 JST (convert time here) on the Nico Nico Live website. Additional guest on the show will be Star House. Time shifting is available for Nico Nico registered users who cannot watch the show as it airs.

ViSULOG TV Airs 8/15

The next episode of ViSULOG TV will air on August 15. Guests will be KENZO (AYABIE); Ricky, ZERO, and TSUKASA (THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S); and Velbet. Special appearances are expected from Pockoon (former editor-in-chief of SHOXX and currently with ROCKSTAR) and Takaya (drummer from Romance for~).

Counteraction Album on iTunes

The album called "Counteraction -V-Rock Covered Visual Anime Songs Compilation-" is now available on iTunes worldwide. Several visual bands worked together to create this compilation album of visual song covers from anime. There are 14 tracks on the album from bands like NoGoD, GUILD, AND, DaizyStripper, v[NEU], DIAURA, HERO, FEST VAINQUEUR, EVE, AYABIE, -OZ-, Jui, UCHUSENTAI NOIZ, and Awoi. The "Counteraction" CD was originally released on May 23, 2012.

The iTunes release is available in the U.S. for $9.99. For other countries, check your local iTunes for availability and pricing.

Anime Song Covers Compilation Released 5/23

Several visual bands have worked together to create a new album compilation of visual song covers from anime shows. The album, called "Counteraction -V-Rock Covered Visual Anime Songs Compilation-," will include 14 tracks from visual bands like NoGoD, GUILD, AND, DaizyStripper, v[NEU], DIAURA, HERO, FEST VAINQUEUR, EVE, AYABIE, -OZ-, Jui, UCHUSENTAI NOIZ, and Awoi.

AYABIE & D=Out Appear on V-On!!!

AYABIE and D=Out will be guest artists on the upcoming May 14 episode of V-ON!!! Radio. The show airs via Nico Nico Live at 20:00 JST (convert time here). Nico Nico registered members may time shift the show for later viewing if they are not able to watch the live airing.

Ayabie will be releasing a new single on May 16. The new single will be called 『覚醒シュプレヒコール』(Kakusei Shupurehikoru), and it will be released in three types.

Ayabie New Single 1/25 and More

Ayabie has a new look, and they will be releasing a new single on Wednesday, January 25. The new single will be called "Merry-go-round" and will be released in three types. Ayabie also has download links available for band podcasts on their OHP. There are currently six podcasts from past shows. Links to other Ayabie podcasts should be available on iTunes. The band will make an appearance in the latest edition of Shoxx magazine, on sale now.

Ayabie and OZ to Appear at A-Kon 2012

Ayabie and OZ are scheduled to appear at A-Kon 2012 in Dallas, TX. A-Kon, an anime-based convention, takes place June 1 - 3, 2012. Ayabie and OZ will perform on that Friday, June 1.
