DIV Notice About YouTube Viewing & iTunes Release

Recently this blog reported about the difficulties in viewing YouTube content from the United States because of YouTube's new YouTube Red service. Visual band DIV is aware of the difficulties, and has posted a statement on their official Facebook page. They apologize for the inconvenience this new YouTube policy has caused, and they state that the new PV for their song "Ikenai KISS" should be available to U.S. viewers sometime in November. They ask for patience and understanding as they work this out.

In the meantime, they also announce that the "Ikenai KISS" single is available to download via iTunes and Amazon in several European countries. It is not yet available in the U.S. store. Check their Facebook page for a complete list of countries..

vistlip have added a new video spot to their official YouTube channel. The new video features over two minutes of PV footage from the band's upcoming new single, "COLD CASE," out November 11. The video also includes some of the extra video footage included on the different release types.

AKi has announced that he will issue two new releases on December 16. There will be a new mini album titled "EPHEMERAL," and a new DVD titled "A Feeling Begins to Arrive." More specific details are not yet available.

YouTube Red Affects Fans of Foreign Music

On October 28, YouTube rolled out a new subscription service titled YouTube Red. YouTube Red subscribers would sign up for a $9.99/mo. service that allows them to view video content without advertisements and view and hear special subscriber-only content. Revenue previously generated by advertisements and distributed among companies and artists with YouTube channels will now be generated by the funds collected from subscription sales. YouTube has added a press release discussing the service and its benefits to its official blog. There is also a great video explanation of how this service works on the hankschannel YouTube channel.

As of this roll out, YouTube channel owners and record/artist labels who have not agreed to the new terms of service that include the YouTube Red subscription service will have content on their channels blocked and made private in the United States. For this reason, this new service is currently negatively impacting fans of foreign music. Content from some major J-rock, visual kei, and K-pop bands and labels is being blocked, including videos from artists like the GazettE, SuG, BREAKERZ, and AKi. It is unclear at this time whether content from those labels will be made available again, or if those record labels will agree to the new terms of service. In the meantime, fans of foreign music may find that various videos discussed on this blog, and videos they've watched/favorited/play-listed in the past are now unavailable for viewing.

LIV'ERT Announces Disbandment & New Releases

LIV'ERT have announced that they will be disbanding in February 2016. The announcement on the band's OHP states that bassist Madara has decided to retire due to personal reasons, and consequently, the band has decided that it would be too difficult to continue activity. They apologize for the sudden announcement. They also announce that they will be releasing their sixth single on November 15. The new single will be titled "Victim." On November 12, they will be releasing a new live DVD title "Screaming of the sorrow."

Sadie Announces New Live DVDs

Since announcing their hiatus earlier this year, Sadie have updated their website with information about two new DVD releases. On October 21, they will release a new live DVD titled "DECADE OF SADNESS 2015.4.11 Osaka Castle Amphitheater" in two types. Then on December 30, they will release another DVD, titled "forever and ever at 20150921 Zepp Tokyo."

Music magazine ROCK AND READ has announced the list of artists who will be featured in volume 062, due to hit stores September 28. The front cover artist for this issue will be Atsushi Sakurai (BUCK-TICK, THE MORTAL). UnRealistic Announce Disbandment

Members of UnRealistic have announced in their blogs that they plan to disband after their live at OSAKA MUSE on January 13, 2016. Members say that for personal reasons, it has become impossible for guitarist A.KI to continue band activites. Rather than try to continue with only the two remaining members, or try to find new members that would change the feel of UnRealistic, they have decided to disband. The new release that they had planned, tentatively titled "and I...," has also been cancelled.

GUILD has announced via their OHP that they will be going on hiatus. Due to member disagreements about the future direction of the band, they have mutually decided to halt activities for next year. Angelo will be featured in a special program on the Nico Nico website on October 4. The program is titled "Angelo Live Dokusensei Chuukei~9th Anniversary 'THE ABNOMAL PHENOMENON'~" and it will open at 16:30 JST (convert time here).
