Souiumono has announced that they will be disbanding after their performance at Takadanobaba AREA on April 10, 2016. In addition, they announce that they will be releasing a final album titled "GAME OVER" on February 20, 2016.

FANG Announces Disbandment

FANG have announced that they will be disbanding after their live show at Shinsaibashi paradigm on March 1, 2016. They thank fans for their support, and apologize for the sudden announcement. After drummer takumi decided to leave the band, the remaining two members decided it would be too difficult to continue activity. The band has two remaining performances scheduled.

A9 have announced that they will release their second EP sometime in the spring of 2016. The new EP will be titled "LIGHT AND DARKNESS," and it will be released in physical and digital versions.

A "stylish wave COUNTDOWN '15-'16" live special will air on the Nico Nico Live website on December 31. The stylish wave show will include appearances by D=OUT, GOTCHAROCKA, SCREW, BORN, Black Gene for the Next Scene, Grieva, Jin, AvelCain, Belle, Gigamous, ensoku, Kuroyuri to Kage, RoNo☆Cro, Smileberry, and Shounenki. The show starts at 15:30 JST (convert time here), and time shifting is available for Nico Nico registered members who cannot watch the show as it airs.

AvelCain New Singles Announced

AvelCain have announced that they will be releasing two new singles at the beginning of 2016. On January 27, they will release a single titled "Tsuki -MOON-." On February 24, they will release a single titled "Yomigaeri." No other details about the new releases have been announced yet.

A few months ago, DEZERT announced that they would be releasing a new album on December 16. The release date for that album, titled "Saikou no Shokutaku," has now been changed to January 20, 2016. The titles of the 10 songs included on the release are now available on the band's OHP.

KAMIJO Announces Guests for 12/28 Tour Final

Solo artist KAMIJO has announced an all-star guest list for his December 28th World Tour 2015 final show at ZEPP DiverCity Tokyo. To celebrate his 20th anniversary, the artist will invite members of his former bands LAREINE, NEW SODMY, and Versailles to appear during the show. There is also a new video on the Warner Music Japan official YouTube channel announcing Versailles return to the stage for this show, the first time in three years the group will perform together. Grieva Loses Drummer

Grieva recently announced on December 11 that drummer Yuugo will be retiring from the band due to poor health. They apologize for the sudden announcement and thank fans for supporting them. The remaining four members plan to continue activity, but they will have to re-evaluate their future live schedule.

LM.C SHOXX FiLE Book Release 1/2016

LM.C will be featured in their second SHOXX FiLE collectible book. The new "SHOXX FiLE LM.C #2 2012～2015" book will feature articles from SHOXX magazine chronicling the duo's career for the past three years. The collectible book will go on sale January 23, 2016.

Kra DVD Spot Available on YouTube

PS Company has added a new video spot for Kra to its official YouTube channel. The new video features over three minutes of live stage footage from the band's 14th anniversary live show on September 11, 2015 at Shibuya Kokaido. The live DVD release will be available from the PS Company online store and from live venue shows. Shipping for online orders will be in mid-January.

Glamhaze New Single Releases Announced

New band Glamhaze have announced that they will be releasing six new singles in 2016. On January 27, they will release a single titled "Hanamuke no Uta." HERO have announced that they will be releasing a new album on February 10, 2016. The new album will be titled "ALIVE." The band also announces that there had been some consideration as to whether the band should continue as HERO or not. After discussion with members and staff, they have decided to continue activity as HERO. As a consequence, the live titled "'JUDGMENT'～Dead or Alive～" has been renamed "ALIVE."

ADAMS' Shota Passes Away

In sad news, ADAMS' manager announced that her husband, guitar/vocal Shota, passed away in his sleep. The musician suffered a stroke in Warsaw, Poland, where ADAMS was performing live on November 28. She asks fans to celebrate his life, and also to respect the family's privacy as they grieve.

B.P.Records has added a new playlist to YouTube featuring three of its bands. The playlist includes full videos of "Ryouran Resonance" with Kiryu, Codomo Dragon, and Royz; Kiryu's song "Utakata"; Royz's song "Emotions"; and Codomo Dragon's song "Kuro to Aka." Those songs are included on the "Family Party" compilation album just released on November 25.

Liraizo have added two new full-version PVs to their official YouTube channel. The new uploads feature the full PVs for the band's songs "Menhera Baby" and "Ningyougeki" from their recently released "Kodomo Tengoku" album. That album was released on October 28.

VAMPS New Trailer on YouTube

Universal Music Japan has added a new video trailer for VAMPS to its official YouTube channel. The new video features about a minute and a half of live stage footage from the band's upcoming "VAMPS LIVE 2015 BLOODSUCKERS" live DVD release. That DVD and Blu-ray release will be in stores on December 9.

DOG in The PWO Announce New Releases

DOG in The PWO have announced two new releases for 2016. First up, the band will release a new single on February 24, 2016. That single will be a double-A side release tentatively titled "Kageki na Yatsu/Happy na Yatsu," and it will be released in three types. Then in April, the band will release a new live DVD titled "Tokyo Doggy's Land -2015-". No exact release date or details are available yet for that DVD.

Pentagon PV Spot Available Online

Pentagon have updated their OHP with a new PV spot for their upcoming new album release. A new minute long video spot for "WELCOME TO GHOST HOTEL" is now available in the band's news feed. That album, the band's second, will be released in three types on January 27, 2016.

Black Gene for the Next Scene Announces Activity Pause & Releases

Black Gene for the Next scene recently updated their OHP with some important announcements. The band has announced that they will stop activity after their April 10, 2016 show at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM. They thank fans for supporting them for the past four years, but they came to the mutual decision that stopping activity was for the best. The announcement also states that the band would like time to reconsider their music activities and perhaps resume activity in the future. In addition, they announce that they will release on final live DVD on January 13, 2016 and one final best album on Feburary 3, 2016. Crow Music TV has added a new video for REVINE to its official YouTube channel. The new video features over a minute of footage from the band's new "Bansei Naru Kyokujitsu no Shinkoku" PV. That single is due to be released in two types on December 9.

Chanty New Single Update & PV Clip

Chanty announced earlier that they would be releasing a new single on December 2. They've now announced that the new single will be titled "Yasashii Koe," and it will be released in two types. Two Members Leave Jupiter

Jupiter has released an official statement that bassist MASASHI and drummer YUKI will be leaving the band. Their last show with Jupiter will be the Tour final “BLESSING OF THE FUTURE” at Shinjuku ReNY on April 29, 2016. Both members state that they made the decision to leave so that they could challenge themselves and grow as musicians. DIV Notice About YouTube Viewing & iTunes Release

Recently this blog reported about the difficulties in viewing YouTube content from the United States because of YouTube's new YouTube Red service. Visual band DIV is aware of the difficulties, and has posted a statement on their official Facebook page. They apologize for the inconvenience this new YouTube policy has caused, and they state that the new PV for their song "Ikenai KISS" should be available to U.S. viewers sometime in November. They ask for patience and understanding as they work this out.

In the meantime, they also announce that the "Ikenai KISS" single is available to download via iTunes and Amazon in several European countries. It is not yet available in the U.S. store. Check their Facebook page for a complete list of countries..

YouTube Red Affects Fans of Foreign Music

On October 28, YouTube rolled out a new subscription service titled YouTube Red. YouTube Red subscribers would sign up for a $9.99/mo. service that allows them to view video content without advertisements and view and hear special subscriber-only content. Revenue previously generated by advertisements and distributed among companies and artists with YouTube channels will now be generated by the funds collected from subscription sales. YouTube has added a press release discussing the service and its benefits to its official blog. There is also a great video explanation of how this service works on the hankschannel YouTube channel.

As of this roll out, YouTube channel owners and record/artist labels who have not agreed to the new terms of service that include the YouTube Red subscription service will have content on their channels blocked and made private in the United States. For this reason, this new service is currently negatively impacting fans of foreign music. Content from some major J-rock, visual kei, and K-pop bands and labels is being blocked, including videos from artists like the GazettE, SuG, BREAKERZ, and AKi. It is unclear at this time whether content from those labels will be made available again, or if those record labels will agree to the new terms of service. In the meantime, fans of foreign music may find that various videos discussed on this blog, and videos they've watched/favorited/play-listed in the past are now unavailable for viewing.

LIV'ERT Announces Disbandment & New Releases

LIV'ERT have announced that they will be disbanding in February 2016. The announcement on the band's OHP states that bassist Madara has decided to retire due to personal reasons, and consequently, the band has decided that it would be too difficult to continue activity. They apologize for the sudden announcement. They also announce that they will be releasing their sixth single on November 15. The new single will be titled "Victim." On November 12, they will be releasing a new live DVD title "Screaming of the sorrow."

Sadie Announces New Live DVDs

Since announcing their hiatus earlier this year, Sadie have updated their website with information about two new DVD releases. On October 21, they will release a new live DVD titled "DECADE OF SADNESS 2015.4.11 Osaka Castle Amphitheater" in two types. Then on December 30, they will release another DVD, titled "forever and ever at 20150921 Zepp Tokyo."

Music magazine ROCK AND READ has announced the list of artists who will be featured in volume 062, due to hit stores September 28. The front cover artist for this issue will be Atsushi Sakurai (BUCK-TICK, THE MORTAL). UnRealistic Announce Disbandment

Members of UnRealistic have announced in their blogs that they plan to disband after their live at OSAKA MUSE on January 13, 2016. Members say that for personal reasons, it has become impossible for guitarist A.KI to continue band activites. Rather than try to continue with only the two remaining members, or try to find new members that would change the feel of UnRealistic, they have decided to disband. The new release that they had planned, tentatively titled "and I...," has also been cancelled.

Alice Nine Announces Name Change

Alice Nine have issued a statement to fans to announce that they will officially be changing their name. After leaving PS Company and becoming independent, the band was not contractually free to use the "Alice Nine" name in promotions and decided to use the abbreviation "A9" in the interim. Now, in order to fully re-start activities and begin promotion freely, they have decided to adopt the name A9 as their new band name. A9 will officially begin activities under that name at their December 25th show at Roppongi EX Theater.

VAASTU have updated their website with news that they will disband after their December 15 live at Shibuya REX. This comes after an announcement on August 9 that bassist SIORI would leave the band.
