ROCK AND READ 078 Lineup Announced

Music magazine ROCK AND READ has announced the list of artists who will be featured in volume 078, due to hit stores June 27. The front cover artist for this issue will be RUKI (the GazettE). Other featured artists will be: Takeru (sleepyhead), AKIHIDE (BREAKERZ), Kouki (D=Out), Nakayama Akira (Plastic Tree), Koudai (Royz), minpha (Pentagon), LiME (Kizu), DAISHI (Psycho le Cemu), and luz.

the GazettE New Album Release 6/13

the GazettE has finally announced a release date for their much-anticipated ninth album release. The album will be titled "NINTH," and it will hit stores on June 13. The album will be released in four types, and tack details are available on the band's OHP. They have also released their first full MV for the album, a song track titled "Falling." Lyrics for the song are listed on the OHP below the embedded video.

the GazettE New DVD Release 2/28

the GazettE will be releasing a new live video set on February 28. The video will be titled "HALLOWEEN NIGHT 17 THE DARK HORROR SHOW SPOOKY BOX 2" and it will be released in both DVD and Blu-ray formats. There is also a countdown on their OHP to a new song release from their new album coming this spring.

the GazettE New Album Release Announced

the GazettE has announced that they will release a new full album sometime in the spring of 2018. They have not yet announced a title or track details, but they have added a teaser video to their OHP. This video is not available for viewing in the U.S.

The front cover artist for this issue will be REITA (the GazettE), and the back cover artist will be INORAN. the GazettE New Best Collection Release 3/8

the GazettE have announced that they will be releasing their second Best album on March 8. The new collection will be a best ballad album titled "TRACES VOL. 2," and it will be released in two types. The names of the tracks included on the collections are already listed on the band's OHP.

the GazettE New DVD Release 1/25/17

the GazettE will be releasing a new DVD on January 25, 2017. The DVD will be titled "the GazettE WORLD TOUR 16 DOCUMENTARY DOGMATIC -TROIS-" and it will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray formats. It will contain documentary and behind-the-scenes footage of the band's recent tour from April to June 2016.

the GazettE Announces World Tour Locations

the GazettE have updated their OHP with information about their 2016 "DOGMATIC" world tour. The band will be making stops in North and South America, as well as Taiwan, China, France, Germany, Finland, and Russia. U.S. fans will be able to see the band as they stop in Texas, New York, and California. Dates and venue information are available on their website.

the GazettE will be releasing a new single in the Spring of 2016. The new single will be titled "UNDYING," and it is the final movement in the band's year-long activity project. No other details are available yet.

the GazettE New Single Release on iTunes

the GazettE's new single titled "Ugly" is now available to buy and download from iTunes. The single was just released on November 18, and the three song tracks are available to download from the US store for $3.87. For pricing and availability in other countries, please check your local iTunes store.

YouTube Red Affects Fans of Foreign Music

On October 28, YouTube rolled out a new subscription service titled YouTube Red. YouTube Red subscribers would sign up for a $9.99/mo. service that allows them to view video content without advertisements and view and hear special subscriber-only content. Revenue previously generated by advertisements and distributed among companies and artists with YouTube channels will now be generated by the funds collected from subscription sales. YouTube has added a press release discussing the service and its benefits to its official blog. There is also a great video explanation of how this service works on the hankschannel YouTube channel.

As of this roll out, YouTube channel owners and record/artist labels who have not agreed to the new terms of service that include the YouTube Red subscription service will have content on their channels blocked and made private in the United States. For this reason, this new service is currently negatively impacting fans of foreign music. Content from some major J-rock, visual kei, and K-pop bands and labels is being blocked, including videos from artists like the GazettE, SuG, BREAKERZ, and AKi. It is unclear at this time whether content from those labels will be made available again, or if those record labels will agree to the new terms of service. In the meantime, fans of foreign music may find that various videos discussed on this blog, and videos they've watched/favorited/play-listed in the past are now unavailable for viewing.

the GazettE have made a new video spot available on their official YouTube channel. The new video features a teaser video for the new song titled "UGLY," included on the new single of the same title out on November 18. This is the third movement in the band's ongoing PROJECT: DARK AGE activities.
