Alice9 Channel Airs 10/26

The next air date for Alice Nine's Nico Nico program, "Alice9 Channel," is October 26, 2012. The program airs at 23:00 JST (convert time zones). Registered Nico Nico members may time shift for later viewing if they are not able to watch the live show.

Esprit D'Air on Indefinite Hiatus

London-based visual band Esprit D'Air announced today via their Facebook page that they are now officially on indefinite hiatus. The reason cited for the activity pause was a number of personal commitments that left them unable to perform as a band at the current time. They did offer fans hope that they would return in the future. The band has been together for two years.

Bakuretsu! Nightmare Airs 10/23

GACKT has announced plans to release a new, as yet untitled, single on November 28. This new single comes shortly after the artist's "Hakuro" single, to be released on October 10. Health Update From Nightmare's RUKA

On September 24, Nightmare updated their OHP with a message from drummer RUKA. Recently, the drummer underwent surgery for an unnamed ailment at the suggestion of his doctor. He reports that the surgery went well, but that he has been advised to rest and recover his strength. He does not expect to participate in the upcoming "MY little HEARTS. Special Edition Vol.4" event, but he does hope to be back in time for the band's fan club trip in October.

MUCC Announces New Album 11/28

MUCC has announced that they will be releasing a new full-length album on November 28. The new album will be titled "Shangri-La," and it will be the band's first full album release since "Karma" hit stores on October 6, 2010.

The band has also released the cover art for their upcoming single, "Mother." The Limited Edition release will come with an extra anime-themed image from the Naruto Shippuden show.

New Versailles Album on iTunes

The new self-titled Versailles full album has been released on iTunes in the United States. The downloads for the new album, released on September 26, include the 11 songs featured on the Regular Edition of the album. "Versailles" may also be available in other countries, so please check your local iTunes stores for availability.

Versailles Releases "Truth" Video

Today, Versailles released a 5:09 minute video for their song "Truth" on the official Warner Music Japan YouTube channel. The band has just released their third major full album before the December 20, 2012 live show that marks their hiatus.

Kra and BORN End Web TV Shows

Kra and BORN announced on their most recent Nico Nico Live web programs that the current episode was going to be the last for their shows. Both bands announced the end of their shows, "Cheer UP! with Kra TV" and "BORN Da, Boo~n," in the final minutes of the programs, thanking their fans for watching. Kra and BORN will both be releasing products and embarking on live tours in the next few months.

BORN will still air an episode of "Black Theory Radio Star" on Nico Nico in October.

Two New Releases from Matenrou Opera

Matenrou Opera plans to release two new singles before the end of the year. On October 3, the band will release their third major single, "GLORIA." New Miyavi Photo Book in November

Miyavi has plans to release a new photo book in November 2012. The new "Gekkan MEN MIYAVI" book was created in collaboration with photographer Keiichi Nitta to include images surrounding the musician's "Premium Live 'Day 1'" events. This special photo book includes a "making-of" DVD. Pre-orders are available until October 3 at CD Japan online.

the GazettE's "DIVISION" Available in Europe

European countries can now enjoy downloads from the GazettE's new full album, "DIVISION," via Amazon MP3 and iTunes stores. New UK record label JPU Records has acquired the right to release this album as their first. While digital MP3 downloads are already available, hard copies of the CD are expected to be released on October 1. Check local stores for availability.

HIZUMI's UMBRELLA Store 1st Anniversary

HIZUMI (ex-DespairsRay) will celebrate the one-year anniversary of his UMBRELLA store in October. To celebrate, he plans to hold anniversary events at his offline Koenji Badi store that will include new product launches as well as autograph signings on the days HIZUMI is in attendance. Band Feature: SCREW

SCREW is a five-person band from Tokyo that began activities in March 2006, performing “secret” lives at various venues throughout the month until their first one-man live on April 23, 2006 at Takadanobaba AREA. The band released their first maxi-single, “Nejireta Shiso,” on May 24, 2006, which went into a second pressing by June 21. With a strong start, they released their first mini-album by July 12 of that year and their first album by March 14, 2007. They have continued to tour and perform regularly ever since, including tour circuits in Europe.

SCREW began activities as a four-member band, a lineup that has changed somewhat over the years. Original members Byo (vo.), Jin (dr.), Yuuto (ba.), and Kazuki (gt.) were joined in June 2007 by current guitarist Manabu. After bassist Yuuto left the band in December 2009 due to creative differences, current bass player Rui joined in 2010.

Since their formation, the band has released twelve singles, nine mini and full albums, three DVDs, and participated in several multi-artist compilation albums and DVDs. The band has a regular web show that airs via the musicJAPANplus and Nico Nico Live websites, as well as a new regular talk corner on Nico Nico. 

Currently under Indie PSC management, SCREW will make their major label debut with Tokuma Japan Communications this year with the release of their upcoming single, “XANADU,” in stores October 17.

An Cafe has announced via their OHP that their new mini album "amazing blue" will be released on iTunes on September 18. This downloadable version will be available in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Canada, United States, Australia, and New Zealand. The album may already be available in other countries, so please check web stores for availability.

Dali New Releases

Dali has announced plans to release a best-of album on October 10. "Dali Kore" will include 15 song tracks and a bonus DVD of 10 music clips. On September 12, the band will also be releasing their single "25:55," previously sold only at live houses and via the band's web store, to the general market. "25:55" was originally released on January 11, 2012.

musicJAPANplus has announced a special program to air on September 6. On October 28, CHISATO (Gt., PENICILLIN) will produce a special live Halloween event called "Crazy Pumpkins" at Shinjuku Astro Hall, featuring Crack6, v[NEU], and GOTCHAROCKA. For the September 6 preview program, vocalists MSTR (Crack6), Jui (GOTCHAROCKA) and Mitsu (v[NEU]) will appear with MC O-JIRO (PENICILLIN) to talk about the event. SUGIZO Official YouTube & Single Release

SUGIZO has opened an official YouTube channel and posted a variety of official videos and comments. The page also includes a promotional clip of "FINAL OF THE MESSIAH," newly remixed by SYSTEM 7 and released on August 29. That remixed single is available via iTunes and Amazon MP3 stores (check your local sites for availability).

SUICIDE ALI to Release Album 10/17

SUICIDE ALI will release their second full album on October 17. The new album will be called "Tainted Gallery," and it will include 12 tracks plus a bonus DVD.

Gackt to Release New Single 10/10

Gackt plans to release a new single on October 10. The new single, "Hakuro," will be released in two types. The CD features the ending theme song for the live-action drama "Sengoku BASARA -MOONLIGHT PARTY-".
