Alice Nine Announces Name Change

Alice Nine have issued a statement to fans to announce that they will officially be changing their name. After leaving PS Company and becoming independent, the band was not contractually free to use the "Alice Nine" name in promotions and decided to use the abbreviation "A9" in the interim. Now, in order to fully re-start activities and begin promotion freely, they have decided to adopt the name A9 as their new band name. Alice Nine New Updates

Alice Nine has resumed activities with a new website and new official social media accounts. On March 1, the band posted information about a new "A9 Project" official website, new @A9_line Line and Twitter accounts, and a new video on their official YouTube channel. For their return, the band has released a new official video for their song titled, "Phoenix." They have created an English-language site where overseas fans can help fund future projects for the band and receive supporter gifts. They also state that since their current offices are very small, they'd like to ask fans not to send letters and gifts to their offices, but rather save them for personal delivery at live events and venues.

In addition, vocalist Show and guitarist Tora have announced a side project called DIAWOLF. As Show Ohara and Tora Amano, the duo will release a new one-coin single titled "Rebellion" on April 12. A new video can be found on the official YouTube channel for the project.
