Danger Crue Records has uploaded a new web show featuring Kameleo to its official YouTube channel. The new episode is titled "Kame Channel vol. 29," and it features over 30 minutes of the band chatting and celebrating at their year-end bounenkai party.

Golden Bomber Special Airs 12/31

lynch. Loses Member

lynch. has announced via their OHP that bassist Akinori will be leaving the band. Recently it was announced that the bassist had been arrested, and the charge has now been disclosed as possession of marijuana in violation of Japanese law. In a series of Twitter statements, vocalist Hazuki announced that the band and staff had several discussions about what they wanted to do, whether to become indie, take a hiatus, or whether they should continue as a five-member band. They ultimately decided it would be unfair to their label, to staff, and to members to ignore the incident and refrain from activities, and they decided to continue as a four-member band. Akinori voluntarily left the group and apologized to everyone for his actions.

MEJIBRAY Announces New Releasese in 2017

MEJIBRAY have updated their OHP with news of a re-issued release and two new releases coming out in 2017. On March 1, the band will release their fifth live DVD, titled "-NO MOUTH SLIVERS- TOUR FINAL at Yokohama Bay Hall." On April 5, they will re-release their first single collection, titled "SM." On May 3, the band will release a new singles collection, titled "SM #2." Track details for all of these releases are available on the band's website.

Purple Stone will be releasing their sixth single on February 1, 2017. The new single will be titled "Poison Chocolate," and it will be released in three types. Track details are already available on the band's OHP.

Link Last Single & Disbandment

There's good and bad news for fans of Link. The band has announced via their OHP that they will be releasing a new single on January 11, 2017. The single will be titled "Departure," and it will be the band's last release. They have also announced that they will disband after their live show at Shinsaibashi soma on March 18, 2017. They thank fans for their support, but after many discussion, they have decided to go their own ways.

Koshi Announces Solo Album Plan

Koshi, formerly guitarist for DIALITE, has announced plans to release a new solo album sometime in the spring of 2017. The solo album would include some of the sound recordings he's been working on, and he will invite a guest vocalist to record the song tracks. The artist has also worked with vocalist Mahiro (ex-DIALITE) as a unit called Anywhere to release a single track this fall. No specific details are available yet.

Gigamous Announces Hiatus

On December 1, Gigamous announced that they would be temporarily suspending activities. Vocalist Shiki announced that he would be leaving the band on March 31, 2017, and as a result, the band has decided to go on hiatus. The announcement indicates that Shiki has decided not to continue a career in music, but rather has a different path in mind for expressing himself. This feeling ultimately led him to this decision to leave the band. The band thanks fans for their support and apologizes for the sudden announcement. XEPPET New Band Announcement

XEPPET is a new band that made their debut on November 15 at Ikebukuro blackhole. The band doesn't seem to have an official website yet, but they do have an official Twitter account and a YouTube channel. Their YouTube channel currently features a digest video from their demonstration performance on November 15. Members are Yoshiaki on vocals, XIN on guitar, MZK on bass, and Takuto on drums. lynch. staff announced via Twitter that one of the members of lynch. has been arrested. On November 22, bassist Akinori was arrested by Aichi Prefectural Police on a charge of "antisocial acts." ROCK AND READ 069 Artists Revealed

Music magazine ROCK AND READ has announced the list of artists who will be featured in volume 069, due to hit stores December 7. The front cover artist for this issue will be Die (DIR EN GREY, DECAYS), and back cover artist will be Chiaki (DEZERT). L'Arc~en~Ciel New Single Release 12/21

L'Arc~en~Ciel have announced that they will release a new single on December 21. The new single will be titled "Don't be Afraid," and it may be released in three types. At least one edition will have a special cover where the image changes from humans to zombies as you tilt the cover. Track details aren't available yet.

zicross New Band and YouTube Channel

A new band called zicross has formed, and they have already opened an official website. The band currently features three members, and they have created a YouTube channel to promote their track titled "Iro Naki Kako." The videos can be found both on their OHP and on their official YouTube channel. The members are:  Kisaragi on vocals, Kazuki on guitar, and Hyoga on bass. The band is still taking applications for drummers.

NIA Announce Disbandment

NIA, formerly known as ANSIA, have announced that they will disband after their live show at Shibuya TSUTAYA O-WEST on December 20. In separate statements on the band's website, each member apologizes for the sudden announcement and asks for fans to support them up to the last live date. All members indicate that they might like to return to music someday, but none announce specific plans.

MeteoroiD Announce Disbandment

MeteoroiD have updated their English and Japanese websites with news that they will be disbanding after their show at Shibuya REX on February 11, 2017. They thank fans for supporting them thus far, but say that the "balance that [they] had perfectly preserved began to crumble." As a result, they decided to finish things while they were still "shining the brightest at this moment." They will disband on the exact anniversary of their formation. As a result of the decision, the band will not release a new mini album titled "83" as previously announced. They apologize for the sudden announcement. RAVE Guitarist Passes Away

PS Company issued an official statement on RAVE's OHP that guitarist Mikuru passed away at 4:51 A.M. on October 26, 2016. The musician had been diagnosed with an undisclosed illness, and the band entered a hiatus period in August to allow him time to seek treatment and recover. The illness required long-term treatment, but it was always Mikuru's intention to return to band activities. The company and band thank fans for the support they showed to the guitarist. They also state that his relatives were able to attend his wake and funeral.

There will be a farewell meeting and celebration of Mikuru's life for fans in Fukuoka and Tokyo on November 14. Rave members will not be in attendance, but fans are encouraged to bring flowers. Details for those meetings are available on RAVE's OHP.

RAVE members ask fans for continued encouragement during this time, and they promise that they will continue activities full force in memory of Mikuru.

KRAD Leave Record Label

Krad have just announced that they have left their Rinkaku Record label. The band's contract ended on October 13, and they decided to leave the company. In a statement issued on their OHP, the band thanked the record company for giving them guidance and encouragement. They promise that they will take what they have learned and re-start with a new feeling. The band has created a new website where they will announce all news and events from now on.

Esprit D'Air Announce Return Plans

London-based band Esprit D'Air recently announced plans to resume activities with a new single titled "Rebirth." The single will be released on December 14th. Esprit D'Air have also updated their OHP with new visuals, and their official Facebook includes jacket art designed by drummer Daishi for the new single release. Their website also include a sign-up form for anyone who wants to keep up to date on band news via e-mail.

Anywhere New Unit Formation

Earlier, Koshi, formerly guitarist for Another and Dialite, announced plans to launch a solo career as a guitarist and composer. In a recent announcement on his blog, the guitarist laid out plans to reunite with Mahiro, former vocalist for Another and Dialite. The two will operate as a two-man unit called Anywhere and will co-produce music. They do not have live stage activities planned yet, but they do announce that they want to release their first single sometime in November. No official release date has been set, but the announcement will appear on the unit's blog.

RAZOR New Band and Release

A new band called RAZOR made its debut on October 16 at Zepp Tokyo, featuring ex-members of several well-known bands. Members include Ryoga (ex-BORN) on vocals, Tsurugi (Sadie) and Kouryu (ex-My BACTERIA HEAT IsLAND) on guitar, IZA (ex-Downer) on bass, and Tetsuya (ex-My BACTERIA HEAT IsLAND) on drums. They have also announced that they will release their first mini album, "RED INVISIBLE," on November 30. The band also will hold its first oneman live on November 30.

Universal Music Japan has added some videos featuring hide to its official YouTube channel. The new uploads include music video clips for "ROCKET DIVE" that appeared on the "WE♥hide -The CLIPS-+1" Blu-ray disc and "MISERY" that appeared on the "UGLY PINK MACHINE file1" Blu-ray disc. The video releases are intended to promote the release of six video works on Blu-ray that revives the artist's works in high quality.

MUCC Anniversary Site Open

MUCC have opened a special website to celebrate their upcoming 20th anniversary. The site features a video and a mysterious 20 item checklist for things they have planned for the coming year. The site has already "revealed":  a tribute album release, "Koroshi no Shirabe", a 20th anniversary live in June, MUCC Day 960 minutes ?, a May 4th formation anniversary special live "Ieshi", a MUCC Tour 2016 Go To 20th Anniversary DVD, and a 2017 anniversary tour. More items will be released later.

AKi & MUCC DVD Release 11/23

Earlier, this blog announced that AKi would be releasing a new DVD on November 23. We now realize that this release will also feature MUCC, the second band on the double headline tour. This live DVD release will be titled "MAVERICK DC presents DOUBLE HEADLINE TOUR 2016 'M.A.D'" Track details still aren't available, but AKi's and MUCC's websites do say that the set will include two discs.

Music magazine ROCK AND READ has announced the list of artists who will be featured in volume 068, due to hit stores October 21. Initial'L New Band and Activities

Former members of Lycaon have come together again to form a new band called Initial'L. They will release their debut single under this band name on November 30, and it will be titled "MOON LIGHT DOWN." The single will be released in three types. They will also have a debut live show airing on the Nico Nico web site on November 6 at 19:00 JST. Time shifting is available for members of the Nico Nico website. Members are Yuuki on vocals, Satoshi and ZERO on guitars, Hiyuu on bass, and Ichiro on drums. Lycaon disbanded in November 2015.

VAMPS Announce US Show Dates

VAMPS will be performing once again in the United States, starting in November. The VAMPS North American Tour 2016 will make stops in San Francisco, CA, Los Angeles, CA, Mexico City, Mexico, New York, NY, Toronto, ON, and Chicago, IL.
