Synk;yet Announce Indefinite Hiatus

Synk;yet have updated their official blog with an announcement that they plan to take an indefinite hiatus. Their last performance will be May 21 at Takadanobaba AREA. They thank fans for supporting them, but announce that the decision was made based on the results of several meetings. Each member decided to take time to rethink their direction. Synk;yet Spanish-language Interview Available

Starwave records announced that the Spanish-language music site Asia Stage recently featured an interview with the members of Synk;yet. The interviewer presented nine questions for the members, and the site includes a live video clip. The web magazine also includes a review of the band's past work.

Synk;yet New Single Release 2/3

Synk;yet have announced that they will release their sixth single on February 3. The new single will be titled "Etsuraku no Soko he Umiotosareshi Taizai no Waltz," and it will be released in three types. Track details and a PV spot video are available on the band's OHP.

Synk;yet New DVD Release 10/7

Synk;yet will be releasing a new live DVD on October 7. The new DVD will be titled "2015.03.26 TSUTAYA O-WEST Expanding Inner Core-THE FINAL-," and it will include at least 18 tracks from the band's live show. The video is available to pre-order on the Darkest Labyrinth online shop.

Synk;yet New Single Release 3/4

Synk;yet will be releasing a new single on March 4. The new single, the band's fourth, will be titled "Aizo no Femme Fatale," and it will be released in three types. A full MV for the title track is currently available on the band's OHP.

Synk;yet News & Releases

Good news for Synk;yet fans. Bassist Shiori recently paused band activities so he could be treated for Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin lymphoma, a common subtype of Hodgkin lymphoma cancer. It has now been announced that as of March 28, the musician is expected to recover and will resume band activities by May 4. Before that time, he will need to undergo a series of radiation therapy treatments, and he will continue regular checkups afterward for signs of relapse. With modern therapy, treatment success for this type of cancer is high.

The band has also announced that they will be planning two new upcoming releases. In April, they will release a new single titled "Silent Prayer." Later in August, they will release a new full album titled "the Graceful Savior."

Editor's Note:  As someone who cares deeply for a cancer survivor and knows several others, I know that positive thoughts and well-wishes are a crucial part of successful radiation therapy. Starwave Records Starts YouTube Talk Show

Starwave Records, home of bands like Misaruka, SUICIDE ALI,  and Calmando Qual, has started its own YouTube talk show. The first episode aired on April 17 and featured members of Misaruka. Episode two aired May 8 and featured Synk;yet. Check out these and other videos available from the record label's official YouTube channel.

Synk;yet to Release Mini Album 9/12

Synk;yet will be releasing their first mini album on September 12. The new album, called "Messiah," will include five song tracks. Synk;yet is affiliated with Starwave Records.
