Vandalism has been reported at the gravesite of famed X Japan guitarist and solo artist, hide. In an statement on the hide-city official website, HEADWAX ORGANIZATION CO.,LTD.
announced that they have temporarily closed the musician's grave at Miura Reien in Miura City (Kanagawa Prefecture) to the public. This follows reports of hide's tombstone having been intentionally damaged with a sharp object, as well as general theft of pictures, littering, pouring alcohol on the stone, and other unruly behavior. In light of these actions, the management company has decided to temporarily close the site. They also offer specific reminders for fans to observe proper graveside etiquette when visiting.
