sleepyhead 1st Full Album Release 6/20

sleepyhead, a.k.a. Takeru (ex-SuG), has announced that he will release his first full album from his new project on June 20. The album will be titled "DRIPPING," and it will be released in two types. Track details are available on his OHP, and an announcement video in English is available on his Facebook page.

Takeru Introduces New Solo Project

Takeru, formerly vocalist for SuG, has announced plans to work on a new project titled sleepyhead. He has opened a new website for his work, as well as a variety of social media accounts in Japanese and English for his fans. A new music video and a live show announcement video are also available on YouTube.

SuG News Updates

SuG made several announcements on their OHP recently. The band had been on hiatus since since their last live in September, but on December 20, they announced definitively that they would be disbanding as of the time of the announcement. In addition, bassist Chiyu announced several solo live events for the end of the year and opened a new website. In April, he will release his first solo mini album.

SuG New Video Spot on YouTube

SuG has added a new video clip to their official YouTube channel. The new video features live footage and member comments for their final performance at Nippon Budokan and their upcoming DVD release. That DVD will be released on December 20.

ROCK AND READ 074 Lineup Announced

Music magazine ROCK AND READ has announced the list of artists who will be featured in volume 074, due to hit stores October 25. The front cover artist for this issue will be Ken, and the back cover artist will be Issei (BugLug). Other featured artists will be: Miya (MUCC), Gara (MERRY), TAKEO (Angelo), Subaru (Royz), Tomo (DADAROMA), Leda (Far East Dizain), AKI (AXESSORY), Keiichi Miyako (RAYFLOWER), Chiyu, and Ken x KENZO (BVCCI HAYNES, GREMLINS).

SuG New DVD Release 12/20

SuG has announced that they will release a new DVD on December 20. The new video will be released in both DVD and Blu-ray formats, and it will contain the band's "HEAVY POSITIVE ROCK FINAL LIVE AT NIPPON BUDOKAN." Content details are available on the band's OHP.

SuG Announced Indefinite Hiatus

On July 31, SuG updated their OHP with an announcement that they would be taking an indefinite hiatus. As they have been preparing to celebrate their 10th anniversary, they have continued to discuss future activities with members and staff, but they have ultimately decided to suspend activity after their September 2 performance at Nippon Budokan. They thank fans for supporting them since 2007, and offer individual statements.

ROCK AND READ 073 Lineup Announced

Music magazine ROCK AND READ has announced the list of artists who will be featured in volume 073, due to hit stores August 18. The front cover artist for this issue will be REITA (the GazettE), and the back cover artist will be INORAN. Other featured artists will be: Takeru (SuG), Saga (A9), Yusuke (lynch.), Kuina (Royz), Tsurugi (RAZOR), Yuuki (Initial'L), Kana (Codomo Dragon), Shindy (Anli Pollicino), Akuta (Chanty), and Takayuki Tazawa (Rayflower).

SuG Broadcast for Overseas Fans on YouTube

SuG has made their recent YouTube live broadcast available for overseas fans on YouTube. The new video on the official SuG channel features vocalist Takeru speaking in English and an interpreter offering assistance in talking about the band's thoughts and expectations.

SuG Vocalist to Release New Styleboook

Takeru, vocalist for SuG, has announced that he will be releasing a new book in August. The book will be titled "VISION--LIFE STYLE BOOK--" and it hopes to convey the artist's life view, aesthetics and creativity. It will include information about Takeru's expression of style through his "million$orchestra" fashion brand,  and it will include photos of the artist wearing his fashion designs. The book also promises to include band music production and artwork, memories, and articles written by Takeru. SuG Single Release News

Earlier SuG announced that they would be releasing a new single titled "AGAKU" on July 5th, but more recently they've announced some news about where fans might see the single. "AGAKU" has been chosen as the ending theme to the new TV anime titled "KAITO X ANSA" for the summer 2017 season.

In addition to the anime, the song will also be featured in a collaboration video between the band and the Keanu Reeves action movie "John Wick 2." The movie will be released in Japan on July 7. Vocalist Takeru released a statement on the band's OHP that he's a fan of the "John Wick" movie and feels honored  that they can collaborate for the new movie. He feels that the strong visual aesthetic of the movie also inspired some of the "AGAKU" PV.

SuG Announce New EP Release 7/5

SuG has announced that they will be releasing a new sound source EP on July 5. The new release will be titled "AGAKU," and it will contain three songs and an SE. It will be released in three types. Track and bonus details are available on the band's OHP.

SuG Announces Video Project

SuG has announced via their official Facebook page that they will creating a special video to play during their 10th anniversary live at Nippon Budokan. The band is asking fans from all over the world to send photos with the theme "Cherry blossoms and X." Photos should include cherry blossoms and whatever else you want, so long as it's something dear to you that brings you good memories. They will play the photo compilation video during their live performance of "Sakura-ame" during the show. The deadline to enter a photo is August 2, 2017. Exact details can be found in English and Japanese on the band's Facebook page.
