SHOXX Parent Company to File Bankruptcy

Ongakusenkasha, the company that publishes SHOXX magazine and Pick-up Voice, has announced plans to file bankruptcy. According to a Yahoo! news report in Japan, the company applied for bankruptcy in June, and could stop doing business as soon as today. Ongakusenkasha started publishing in 1966, and launched SHOXX as a visual kei publication in 1990. The company cites economic recession and the rise of digital media as primary reasons for the declaration.

SHOXX 231 On Sale 3/21

Music magazine SHOXX will be released on March 21. This month's cover artist will be the GazettE, following their 10th Anniversary activities. Other included artists are Nightmare, Arimura Ryuutarou (Plastic Tree), Shin (ViViD), LM.C., Lolita 23 qu, Lc5, Sadie, Kra, THE KIDDIE, Versailles, vistlip, Kiryuu, and more.

Shoxx Vol. 229 is Out Now!

Music magazine Shoxx Vol. 229 (March 2012) was released on January 21. The new issue features cover artist SuG with a special 18-page feature article and poster. Other artists appearing in the magazine will be the GazettE, Yomi (Nightmare), Plastic Tree, ViViD, Kra, D=Out, Lc5, Sadie, R-Shitei, and Lolita23q.

Shoxx Begins Revealing Vol. 229 Artists

Shoxx just recently began revealing hints about which artists will be covered in its upcoming Vol. 229. According to their Twitter updates, SuG just completed a cover photoshoot, and D=Out will have a photo and interview spread discussing their new album. Vol. 229 will be on sale January 21, 2012. Shoxx Vol. 228 on Sale 12/21

Shoxx is slowly releasing details for its next issue, Vol. 228 on sale December 21. Alice Nine will be the featured cover artist with an interview. Other bands included in the issue will be:  vistlip, Chemical Pictures, Megaromania, Matatabi of Onmyoza, ViViD, the GazettE's Mie show, HERO, DuelJewel, Moran, and Doremidan.
